Your Online Personal Trainer, Without the Gym Session Price
An online personal trainer should know what you did last Tuesday, not just what you said your goal was on day one. I coach you one-on-one, build your training around the equipment and time you have, and adjust the plan as your strength and schedule change.
Dante Johnson is online only. That means you do not have to live near me, book around a gym floor, or pay separately for each supervised session. You still train independently, but you are not left to figure everything out alone. I work with adults 18 and older who want clear training, practical food guidance, and an actual conversation every week.

What a virtual personal trainer does between workouts
A gym session can be helpful for live feedback, but most of your progress depends on what you do between appointments. Your virtual personal trainer should help you decide what to train, how hard to train, what to eat, and when to back off. I do that through a written program, direct messaging, and scheduled one-on-one calls.
During intake I ask about prior injuries, your training history, available equipment, work shifts, food preferences, and sleep. I want to know whether you can realistically train three days or five days, not how many days an ideal version of you would train. A plan you cannot follow is not a good plan, however impressive it looks on paper.
You log what you actually complete. On our weekly call we review performance and your feedback, then change the next stretch of training when needed. A missed week does not erase progress. It tells us to make the next week manageable again. You can text questions as they arise rather than guessing for days.
Training hard without training blindly
My programs are built for focused effort and progressive overload. That means working to improve your reps, load, control, or execution over time while keeping technique in mind. I choose movements that fit your goal and equipment, then use your records to decide when it is time to progress. More work is not automatically better if you cannot recover from it.
Recovery has equal standing with training. We discuss sleep, rest days, soreness, and whether the workload fits the rest of your life. If your joints hurt or your performance keeps slipping, we address that rather than adding punishment cardio. If you need medical evaluation or a rehabilitation plan, I will not pretend fitness coaching is a substitute for a qualified clinician.
Home workouts can use dumbbells, bands, or whatever you own; gym plans can use racks, machines, and cables. Some equipment makes certain goals easier, but consistency and progression matter more than a perfect setup. If you need hands-on spotting, physical therapy, or real-time form instruction every set, seek an in-person professional for that part.
Your food plan supports the lifting
Training without enough food can leave you stalled. I build custom meal plans around a macro target rather than declaring entire food groups off limits. Protein and carbs get particular attention because they help make consistent training and recovery practical. Your calories depend on whether you are trying to gain muscle, lose fat, or maintain while getting stronger.
I generally recommend aiming for a gallon of water daily when appropriate, along with meals you can repeat and adjust around your schedule. If a clinician has told you to limit fluids or follow a particular diet, that guidance comes first. We do not use crash diets, skipped meals as punishment, or an all-or-nothing approach after a meal out.
For cardio, light incline walking three to five times a week can be a practical addition to resistance training. The point is to build a routine you can keep, not to see how exhausted you can get. We watch strength and body measurements as well as energy, sleep, mood, and confidence to understand how the plan fits you.
How Dante Johnson coaching works week to week
First, you share your background and goals in a questionnaire and an onboarding call. I turn that information into a personalized training program and meal plan. Then you train, log what happened, and tell me what felt good or difficult. On the weekly call we evaluate the evidence together and decide what to keep or adjust.
Foundation includes one meal plan, a custom training program, one weekly call, and 24/7 direct text access at $175 per month. Performance adds a second meal plan at $225 per month. Elite is $275 per month and includes three meal plans, four-week training updates, two calls weekly, form-check videos, and priority text support. All are offered in 3, 6, or 12 month commitments, with pay-in-full discounts shown below.
I do not promise you will gain a set amount of muscle or reach a target weight on a fixed date. What I can provide is a specific process, clear feedback, and adjustments based on your effort and response. If you have a deadline, we discuss what is realistic and what would require compromises I would not recommend.
Is online coaching the right fit?
An online fitness coach makes sense if you can follow a written workout, send honest updates, and want help connecting the dots across training and nutrition. It suits beginners learning structure as well as experienced lifters who want an outside perspective. Distance is not a barrier, but communication matters because I cannot see every rep in person.
If you prefer somebody beside you through each session, an in-person trainer may serve you better. If you want custom planning without arranging in-person appointments, read more about workout programs or book a free call. Tell me where you are starting, what equipment you have, and where your current plan has stopped working.
